Register your change of address abroad (RNI)

If you move abroad, you can report your new address to the Dutch government. This can be done via the government website or via the municipality of Leiden.

You can only report your change of address abroad if you are registered in the Non-Resident Registration (RNI).

Report a change of address online

The Central Government website explains how you can report your change of address online with DigiD and what you need for this.

Providing your new address is free of charge.

By post

Are you unable or unwilling to change your address abroad via DigiD? Then you can also pass on the change of address by post. To do this, print out the RNI change of address form. Send the completed form with a copy of a valid passport or ID card to the municipality of Leiden.

Your data will be adjusted in the RNI within 4 weeks.
