Repairing or replacing your container
Is your container for residual waste or biodegradable waste (vegetables, fruit and garden waste) seriously damaged? If so, report this to the municipality. If possible, your container will be repaired. Otherwise you will be provided with a new one. A container that has been stolen or has disappeared should also be reported to the municipality.
If your container is replaced you will be provided with one in the new size and colour. The new container for residual waste has a grey lid. The new container for biodegradable waste is slightly larger than the old one and has a green lid.
Rules for replacement or repair
- If you make your report during working hours, then place the container outside your house immediately after reporting.
- If you make your report outside of working hours, then place the container outside your house the following morning, by 7.00.
- Make sure that your container is empty.
